Dixie the Dog needs a home

Dixie is a 17 pound beagle mix thought to be about five years old. She is house broken and crate trained. She is fully vaccinated and has been spayed. She was diagnosed with heartworm disease, but we will treat her for that and cover the costs. We have started her on the slow kill method and would consider faster treatment if she found her family who understood the risks and care involved after treatment. We feel that is fair to the foster family, so every meet & greet has the potential to result in an adoption!

Adoptions handled directly by our rescue are for special circumstance pets.

?Adoption fees are negotiable but our goal is to break even on a pet's medical expenses, although we know that will be the exception and not the case most of the time.
